Wendy believes in the concept of being a Lifetime Learner. She has attended many courses and seminars over the years to keep her on the cutting edge – from technology to Mandarin Chinese and Spanish language – She LOVES Music, especially the Blues - and will forever treasure the years that she and her late husband Mike, a well-respected drummer enjoyed listening to live bands. Music is the language of memories!
Wendy is actively involved in both her church and the South Delta community. At South Delta Baptist Church, she has served in many programs in the past and now volunteers special time to quietly provide comfort to those in need. She has also volunteered for Ladner's Barnside Harvest Festival 3 years in a row - supports Children’s Miracle Network Charity and enjoys being available to work on special projects and local fund raisers.
Favorite places to travel? Mexico or Maui in the winter. The Okanagan Wine Country in the autumn. Presently planning an adventure to the Maritimes and Cape Breton. Wendy knows the importance to recharge and refresh, even if it's a day trip up to Whistler or a drive out to Cultus Lake.
For fun Wendy still enjoys photography. Now that her 3 girls have grown up, the extra attention is directed to her grandchildren. She's a die-hard Canucks fan - how's that for being an optimist! She is an active swimmer, enjoys long walks and loves taking her E-Bike "Sally" on great adventures! Stay active and eat healthy.
